Default Trouble Connecting Laptop With wpi0

Hello,

Can someone please take a look and see what I am doing wrong? I am trying to connect my laptop to my wireless router (which uses wpa2/aes).

/etc/hostname.wpi0
Code:
dhcp NONE NONE NONE nwid mynetwork wpa wpapsk mykeygoeshere

This is the output of ifconfig wpi0
Code:
wpi0: flags=8803<UP,BROADCAST,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
	lladdr 00:13:02:23:80:26
	priority: 4
	groups: wlan
	media: IEEE802.11 autoselect
	status: no network
ieee80211: nwid mynetwork wpaprotos wpa1,wpa2 wpaakms psk wpaciphers tkip, ccmp wpagroupcipher tkip
This is dmesg
