To ask for a feature with FreeBSD, I agree because the FreeBSD developers use them. I'm a member of some of the lists, and have them turned off because 99% of the messages will be something that I have no interest in. Lists are a carry-over from the very early internet days. They are a very inefficient way to get a question answered, and they are not easy to search or run polls. IMO, developers using lists to answer questions exhibits a lack of knowledge or a complete disregard for the value of their time since they must continually answer the same questions. If it weren't for FreeBSD, lists wouldn't even be on my radar.

If anybody knows of a more in-depth forum for FreeBSD, I'm all ears. I got here from another forum they say has a spam problem.
