You could always write a quick shell script combined from tcpdump, fetch, curl...to download direct multimedia files. tcpdump can
see them all, nevertheless in some situations you do need some tricks (mostly http request headers) to successfully retrieve the file. If you wanna do smt further, write it as cgi script and let apache hosts it. You and your mate now can download multimedia stuff anytime, anywhere
