I'm relatively new to FreeBSD and we have a 6.1 box here that I wanted to bring up to date. I updated all of the ports and then followed this guide (linked from the 6.3 release notes):

After rebooting my computer twice (per the instructions), a uname -a still shows 6.1. I'm not sure what I did wrong, when I ran the first upgrade command, I approved every change and removed the <<<<< >>>>> difference lines (and deleted old or new lines with them) whenever prompted. I didn't just blow through the prompts. But after running install, reboot, install, reboot, it seems as if I'm still on 6.1.
Is uname reporting the wrong information? What do you suppose I did wrong? Do I have to do it sequentially, 6.1 > 6.2 > 6.3 instead of 6.1 > 6.3?
Thanks for the help
