Yes, the agreement lets PC-BSD ship with linux-flashplugin7 pre-installed. Until recently it was fairly touch and go getting flash to work at all under PC-BSD releases; even after that deal IMHO. Although much of that might be because only a few people know how to use the bloody nspluginwrapper....... Or it could be changes in the Linux ABI, beats me.
Because of the lack of a workable Linux Flash9 for FreeBSD 6.3 they took to creating PBI that combine IE or FF or Opera with WINE and Flash 9 for Windows. I personally am against this practice, except when it is required for business reasons (e.g. web-dev testing their pages in IE6 ), but it's their project.
And infuriatingly,
pcbsd.org now has a flash ad for PC-BSD 7 !!!!
