Default Soekris experiences

I'm considering buying a Soekris machine, my Pentium 1 OpenBSD firewall/router is crashing every 2-3 days because of a bad hard disk, something like a Soekris net4501 seems to be a good replacement, small, cheap, reliable, and only 10 watt.

Does anyone have any experiences with Soekris machines? OpenBSD support shouldn't be a problem, there is even a soekris reseller specialized in OpenBSD (, but is the hardware of good quality? It is a "critical" machine for me, so reliability is important, Basically I want to install this machine and not look at it for at least 10 years...
UNIX was not designed to stop you from doing stupid things, because that would also stop you from doing clever things.
