Well. It took me 2 days of thinking about the best Jabber client. So I figured
out that mcabber is the way to go for me. It took me another day to understand the configuration file. I never had the time to configure it properly. If you wanted to use IRC I would be there in no time. I actually ported SIC to OpenBSD specifically (didn't get committed yet) to be able to use IRC as I was unable to use more complicated IRC clients.
