Exclamation DragonflyBSD: unexpected pkg_admin running.

I've compiled the system and kernel on dragonflybsd but did not install either with make installworld or installkernel.
After "make buildkernel . . . " completes, I come back to my system and find "pkg_admin -K . . . check" running as root user.
I don't think "make buildkernel . . ." runs the command "pkg_admin -K . . .".

This system was running as a VirtualBox guest; was running the ROX Desktop at the time of the build.

The sshd daemon was running but the firewall blocks all incoming connections and I could not ssh to the dragonfly system.

/var/log/auth.log did not reveal anything other than what I had done.

The file /etc/crontab lists: adjkerntz as well as atrun.
Is there another log file that might reveal the origin of "pkg_admin . . ."?
