Consider using packages as previously suggested by
jggimi. The end result of building ports are the very same packages as already provided by the project. Unless you modify the
Makefile's involved, the packages will be identical, & if you are tweaking the build, you are on your own.
If you investigate disk consumption with
du(8), you will likely discover that
/usr/ports/pobj is large due to building. Study
Section 15.3.6 for learning how to
clean up your tree.
...& if you insist on building ports, you will simply need to allocate more space to
/usr/ports than in your current scheme. Going back to your thread on partition sizes, adding another disk simply for this subtree is another option.
