Most of the concerns I saw revolved around firmware for the wireless card though I did not spend alot of time looking. There did not seem to be the type of problem in the NetBSD wiki dmesg so I would wonder if your bios is detecting wd0, ie mis-configured bios, bad hard drive or other hardware problem.
