Yes! /var/log/messages is there and a host of other log files as expected in the upper directory '/var/log'. Now I am installing a program that is referencing
/var/log/syslog
ยท /var/adm/SYSLOG
for logging and that's how I recognized the missing /var/adm/ directory and remembered the SYSLOG, crash?core etc. Was wondering If I cloberred something during the installation or have they been removed in the V 6.x O/S. If they are supposed to be there, how do I restore them?
