Default rwx,r-x,r-x/U-- What's the "U" mean?

Using FreeBSD 7.0

I've searched a lot about permissions and can't find anything on what the U means. After installing aterm and eterm I can't run them. If I do a whereis on them it doesn't find them. I noticed that they have the U in the permissions. That may be the problem. What is that and do I need to unset it to run the programs?

thanks
