But given that the official release date for OpenBSD 4.9 is slightly less than two months now, creating the 4.9-
release branch in CVS is likely to occur within the next week or so
(Time has to be allowed to get the official CD sets reproduced & sent to the vendors...). Thus, getting this matter addressed is not likely to occur before tagging. Since your goal is to have someone look into this, I would suggest formally submitting a bug report via:
http://www.openbsd.org/report.html
...just to ensure there is an audit trail & this doesn't get lost in the cracks.
Although I don't recall ever seeing an issue get dropped, it is best to use the established system.
