My first clue was sgi.html, "Multiprocessor operation is supported." is only mentioned under "IP30 (Octane a.k.a Speedracer) family".

The author wrote a paper and presentation about its implementation:

There's only a MP kernel for IP30 in snapshots.

The Octane is actually my favourite sgi machine, there's just something about it...
