The ASrock J3355m is low-power, fanless m-atx board that has a few quirks. It has fairly aggressive power-savings features that are not fully supported in OpenBSD. With the default Bios settings it would not wake once the display went into power-save. This may have something to do with the failure to load firmware:

I found the firmware on Intel's site and placed it in both /etc/firmware/i915 and /etc/firmware, but it still would not load. Disabling the C states and S3 (suspend to ram) in the bios stopped the power-saving lockups.

The bios is updated to 1.40 and it efi boots reliably Lastly, the rtwn(4) mini pci-e card performs as well as my older ath5k/ralink_2561 pci cards.

Update: The recent commits to mesa and the kernel drm have made xorg unstable. I went back to 6.2 Release which works with the following:
1) Disable C power saving states and S3 "hibernate to ram" in the Bios
2) Use the sna acceleration instead of glamor with
/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-intel.conf
