Wel what I did not yet try:
- vesa driver
- X -configure (if it is not the same as Xorg -configure)
- anothor monitor (I could connect an external monitos to the laptop)
- going through the SIS man pages in detail
I will try these these this evening.
Other things described in that FAQ are not usable for me since I have no Xorg logging and the system freezes even on Xorg -configure. And when it is freezed I can't even ssh to it.
I also noticed that the system's reaction to the command "startx" is unusaly slow to what I am used to.
I am fairly sure that the graphic card is not broken since it worked under XP before installing OpenBSD.
