These are in sync because:
- The kernel and the userland binary were both built on the same day.
- The poster, kbeaucha, is a -release user, and there are only two releases per year. It would have been very obvious if there had been some sort of user error in upgrade -- the dates would have been at least 6 months apart.
I'd asked about synchronicity in the first place only because Googling had shown that, once upon a time, an implementation error by a user who was running a kernel and userland out of sync had produced the same error message. I wanted to confirm or rule this out in kbeaucha's case.
