You have three ways to install gnome(meta package):

• build via pkgsrc(take much time)
• set $PKG_PATH to a repository and install the binaries(sample url http://nyftp.netbsd.org/pub/pkgsrc/p...d64/6.1.4/All/ )
• build or get pkgin on your pc and update database and install it
