Sure it can, that's plenty of RAM.. I have systems with far less.
X doesn't use that much memory.. nor does fluxbox.
Still, the fact that OpenBSD is freezing is not a good thing.. I do have some P1's around with S3 ViRGE cards, so I can't explain this problem.
@mfaridi, As I suspect the Xorg log to be empty, trying connecting to the system via SSH.. tail -f
/var/log/Xorg.0.log, and startx from the console.
At least with that we'll be able to see any obvious issues, although ultimately none of us are kernel/X developers.. so we may not be able to help you.
Can you try a recent snapshot mfaridi? see if the problem remains.. if it does, send a bug report and hopefully someone will be able to help you.
