I recently took a shot at NetBSD and ended up installing 4.0.1 as the hard drive had a gpt table on it. I did find 2011Q4 binaries

There were xorg binaries available (4.0.1 comes with Xfree) but about 4/5 the way through the package installation ground to a halt so I gave up.
