I think it depends on your providers network.. obviously some might assign private addresses to their clients.

Even if your ISP assigns you a publicly accessible address, it's still possible they'll filter traffic at some level..

Anyway, I do recommend searching the mailing list archives... even if OpenBSD supports the device, you'll still need to configure ppp for your carrier.
