I'm sorry, dual card refers to laptops that have both an integrated Intel card and a separate NVida card. I think it's more of a gaming thing. (Not a gamer so not that sure).
On my one laptop with a Haswell card, I'm using FreeBSD-CURRENT.. I think that TrueOS may have trouble multibooting if you're not using UEFI, which I don't use.

My newer laptop--I say newer but it's from 2013, is a yoga2 with a Haswell ULT video and an Intel 7260 dual band wireless card. Video works with the drm-next-kmod port. Wireless works with the iwm driver, but only gets speeds of 2-3MB over the LAN, though on RARE occasion, it's gone up to 10-11MB.
