Default OpenBSD 5.0 and Current i386 buggy acpi tables

In am trying to use OpenBSD in an Everex 1500 Stepnote laptop. Installation went fine but on booting, the /bsd kernel, it hangs at acpiprt4. I have tried both 5.0 and current

I have tried using ukc to disable acpi0 which leads to a kernel panic
Code:
panic: no isa bus
I also tried disabling mpbios which still hangs at acpiprt4

I was going to try fiddling with changing acpi0 in ukc but the only configurable values that come up are bus [-1] and flags [0x0]. I do not have the foggiest idea what are reasonable bus numbers or flags to try and did not get much enlightenment with the man pages for acpi.

The phoenix bios itself does not have any acpi configurations options

Is this a lost cause? I can still run Debian Squeeze/Arch on the system but had the sense that was a good time to install current.
