Instead of the edimax stick (about which I've posted at maybe this forum, and at the freebsd forums), you may have luck configuring what appears to be internal Broadcom wireless (there is a long thread about it on the freebsd forums.) It may take some trial-and-error though, if the wireless works, configuring the actual wpa-supplicant.conf, rc.conf entries. (Unsure if bwm, bwi, or the
other drivers will work (without ndisgen, etc)... the last page of the Broadcom wireless thread implies there is still coding to be done for many of the latest chipsets.) All in all, using the edimax or an atheros or intel usb stick may get your wireless configured quicker. (Other things to suggest but I am out of time...)
