The message is produced by a printf in the mpii(4) driver software, indicating a SCSI command timeout. The message should also name the device that timed out.

There is one change to the driver module (src/sys/dev/pci/mpii.c) since 6.2, in -current, but it appears to be unrelated to your problem.

Can you disable the RAID controller in BIOS, and use your drives without it? If so, that might circumvent the problem.
