You already mentioned it. /usr/src/UPDATING tells you what fixes were released as part of which patch. For example:

You look for more details on the web, type in this URL:

http://security.freebsd.org/advisories/

At the end of that, put the advisory (example from above would be "FreeBSD-SA-08:10.nd6") and add ".asc" to the end. So, for the example above, you'll use this URL:

http://security.freebsd.org/advisori...-08:10.nd6.asc
