This is vague, but there is work going in -CURRENT on
azalia(4).. if you were following the
mailing lists you would have known about this.

Now, another option (
if you don't want to follow -CURRENT, which is kinda advisable with laptops..) is to simply lower the volume levels with
mixerctl(8).
In the future, please post as much information as you can... a dmesg.. mixerctl output.. etc.
