A DVD+RW has, yet again, a life of it's own.

Must first be blanked (you didn't said you did),
it also can be formatted, as any block device, with your file system of choice.
This should allow you to make a simple copy (cp).

Also, cdrecord ... eeerk!
Install dvd+rw-tools package
The growisofs command is a nice wrapper around cdrecord and mkisofs, makes many choices for you in the background based on the name of your files and your hardware.
LOL you are so right i always choose the long complicated paths in everything i do lol

It is that friend of mine that influences me alot.
He uses Only Solaris at Work.
i told him i will put his photos on my Site later on tonight.

He was the one who first introduced me to windows 3.1
and zip Drives with games you can actually play lol

He works as a Network Admin and since i moved i can no longer see him so,
we just talk via email and phone at times when hes not too busy.

The DVD+RW tools i had installed once,
and didnt have a clue how to use it lol.
the readme was terrible.

The tools were sitting in a directory /opt/bin/dvd-something tools

Yes that Dam cdrecord said i was not allowed to Blank
the DVDRW so i went and did a full format from a windows machine
using alcohol lol (not drinking it folks)

But that is the wrong to do it way isnt it?
