I assume you now have a working system. If so, congratulations. New problems (such as the ability to understand how to start Gnome) should be in a new Forum Thread.

But.. see if the "cheat sheet" at the bottom of the README file is enough to get Gnome started. If not, please come back for additional help. But try to ask in a new thread.

What are these commands?

The first commands disables the use of the xenodm(1) Display Manager. If you are not using it now, this command will not make any changes. It is necessary to do this to avoid any conflict by having both the xenodm() and GDM Display Managers running at the same time. GDM is a requirement for Gnome.

The second command enables the multicast setting and three daemons: messagbus, avahi, and GDM, which are required for Gnome.

The third command reboots your system, which will start all daemons, including the GDM Display Manager. Logging in through the Display Manager should give you your first Gnome session.
