The bootloader commands are defined in boot.conf(8). The full syntax of the boot command is
"boot [[device:]image] - acds" but as you noted, Garry, the first command response will be assumed to be boot with the default device (hd0a) and kernel image (/bsd), allowing admins to get away with "-s" or one of the other options as our sole response. We can also use "bsd.rd" to load the RAMDISK kernel, or "any.other.kernel" to load /any.other.kernel if we choose.
