Congratulations, Nat_RH on your first post! I see you have been a member since 2008.

The thread you responded to began in March. Generally speaking, discussions which are more than a week old are most likely done. Yet, the point you are making is in line with that of the thread's originator.

Adding to what others have already said, openbsd101.com attempted to explain commonly used commands used in installation & simple system administration. The value openbsd101.com provided was that its presentation did display information in a less intimidating manner, but it didn't go very far, nor was its discussion particularly complete. As BSDfan666 eludes, openbsd101.com was launched in the OpenBSD 3.x era, & unfortunately much of its information was out of date. On these forums, we have had to correct newbies' confusion & mistakes more than once because of blindly typed in (incorrect) commands originating from that site.

The problem most third-party sites make is underestimating how much work is required to maintain correctness & obviously openbsd101.com's owner finally lost interest. Other than providing newbies a more palatable presentation, openbsd101.com didn't provide any information not already found in the OpenBSD project's FAQ. I'm sure the site owner eventually saw this, & the time & work needed to truly differentiate the site was deemed insurmountable.
