Hopefully someone will modify your posts, you should really put that inside [code](HERE)[/code] blocks.. it preserves formatting and makes it possible for us to read the output without wanting to pull out our hair.

Your PCI sound card is from Cirrus Logic, it appears to have a legacy ISA fallback for SoundBlaster emulation, this was once useful for legacy DOS/Win3x applications.

What was the effect of disabling either clcs(4) or sb(4) in UKC or config(8)? is there no option in the BIOS to disable this permanently?

The driver for the "native" PCI chipset appears to be suffering some sort of initialization problem, but it doesn't appear to be fatal as it proceeds to attach.. unfortunately so does the conflicting ISA card.
