That was actually an interesting post. Are you sure that IP30 is the only SGI platform which supported in SMP mode? I would swear that for the past 2-3 OpenBSD worked in SMP mode on all tested machines including some of monster Origin 3000 (second only to IRIX).

Could we have this as a sticky post?
