There are two parts to the solution. First, get the text of the appropriate URL:

• sacerdos_daemonis is correct in describing how to obtain the URL of a specific post.
• To get the URL of a thread, simplify the URL of the thread’s first post by excluding information about the post number. For example:
  • http://daemonforums.org/showthread.p...4745#post64745 is the URL of a specific post.
  • http://daemonforums.org/showthread.php?p=64648 is the URL of the overall thread.

Second, to transform the text of a URL into a clickable link, wrap it with [url] & [/url] vBulletin tags.
