In spite of prevailing free software ideas and other GNU/BSD ideals, from my point of view the Norton Ghost is the best! Just give a try, because even the student can afford to buy it... and it is worth the money paid for it.

Being restricted only with free software, I would use dump/restore. There is nothing terrific and horrible behind using it. There is just a need to adjust little bit the way of thinking and small time for practice.

I didn't tried G4U, bet Ghost for Linux was failing for me...
