Ah, iwm can use hidden SSID. Will be installing tonight I think. At work, I have an old Thinkpad, that needs acpi disabled. It turns out (I guess this is new, or my mind is more gone than I thought) that it's no longer boot -k which gives me unknown option, but boot -c, as in config. Maybe they had some bad spellers before.
