Thanks very much for your kind words. The wallpaper is a generic one I found in a twm theme (
http://www.custompc.plus.com/twm/walls/HP3.jpg), to which I simply added our beastie friend as he seemed to sit on the ledge nicely. The window manager is JWM with a theme by Christian Bettinger
Unfortunately I've left my conky config behind on a hard disk no longer in this machine since I did an upgrade to NetBSD 8. But it was quite simple, nothing clever in it.
I've been making a number of changes to my desktop, will post another shot when it is done.
