Without digressing into Linux bashing, you will find that the OpenBSD community comes at these issues from a different direction.
Given that the base installation can be considered secure, many of the applications mentioned in your initial message are considered to be gimmicks & bandages for architectural shortcomings.

- Applications already ported to OpenBSD can be searched for at the following:
