I'm one of the many people who use more than the standard i386 and AMD64 based equipment that PCBSD only supports. Rolling release is not a good idea for end users.
1. Code should not be rushed. Doing such or pressuring programmers is asking for something to go wrong.
2. What works on one subset of any architecture may not work on another subset of the same architecture. Again, you are asking for trouble.

When possible, I will work on building applications for other architectures. At times, this may show problems in code that can latter affect standard architectures. Rolling release is not a good idea.

This is my opinion.
