It is kind of a mystery, I never had any problem on other computers
when booting and installing. All though netbsd was able to boot, and install, it was not easy, and things really were not working well. Besides that, I wanted OpenBsd.
Later I tried some other install CDś, Minx3, and also FreeDos and encountered similar problem. Minix3 booted, but could not read the drive, there for could not install. Then with FreeDos, it did boot, but could also not read the drive, that is when I decided to try formatting, in fact I was considering installing FreeDos.
Any way, once I formatted it, I decided to try one more time, with OpenBsd and to my surprise the install CD booted fine, and I was able to install.
I don't know, -----
Like I said, the computer was given to me, it is old the HD is supposed to be new, he had managed to install windows7 on it, but I did not want that, maybe that had something to do with it ?
I believe the computer would have had windowsXP ,when it was new.
