Yes, some video content is in MP4/WebM format.. but a large amount of it requires the Flash player.
There was a statement from one of the employees going as far as saying that the Flash player will not be replaced entirely.
Right now on OpenBSD you can use the Midori browser to play some stuff on YouTube, but it appears only MP4 content is working.. I only get audio for WebM content.
I typically just yell at people who post links to YouTube, it's easier.
