Or Live CD. But I guess it is easier to spread the FUD about BSDs than to use the logic.

Here is the very short list of LiveCDs aimed at hardware testing as well
as Desktop demonstration. I sorted them according to the BSD flavor they are based on.

OpenBSD based LiveCD distros for hardware testing and desktop
demonstration:
Jggmi's live OpenBSD cd is fantastic http://www.jggimi.homeip.net/
The same goes for BSDanywhere http://bsdanywhere.org/

How about NetBSD LiveCD http://www.jibbed.org/

FreeBSD is the most popular flavor of BSD. There are almost forty
distros based on FreeBSD (most of them dead). Here are some desktop
LiveCD distros. Despite the fact that is outdated among LiveCD distros based on
FreeBSD I really like FreeSBIE http://www.freesbie.org/
although for real things probably the way to go is TrueBSD
http://www.truebsd.org/

DragonFly is installation CD is actually LiveCD which you can install on
hard-drive. http://www.dragonflybsd.org/
