The Romaine Tartiere's and Nikola Lekic's work in bringing TeXLive to FreeBSD is admirable but I feel that at this point FreeBSD foundation will have to get involved to preserve credibility of FreeBSD. FreeBSD should remove any developer privileges that Hiroki has and set an example for "developers" like him. Otherwise they might as well start advocating use of OS X as a desktop system (practice widely spread among FreeBSD and some NetBSD developers) and focus on a very few server applications that they still do rather well.
