You could be questioning how these windowing environments will appear on the non-standard 1024x600 10-inch screen, & the answer is empirical -- try them & see.

I have the older (& smaller...) 701 with a 800x480 7-inch screen, & I run the lighter weight Fluxbox window manager on it. For the most part, the non-standard screen size isn't a problem, but there are dialog boxes within applications such as OpenOffice & Adobe Reader which do not size well; the top or bottom of some windows will be cut off. This doesn't have to be catastrophic; I have learned that these dialogs can be moved up or down (even if the caption bar is obscured...) to expose needed options or buttons.
