I tried startx command right from a user privileged console; as a result, the screen blanks with a cursor on the top left corner and the system hangs.
I guess I'll wait for the next stable release, while using NetBSD 5.02 in the meantime; the problem is that version NetBSD version 5.0.2 supports only GNU/Linux openSuse version 10.0,which is a bit dated - the current stable version of openSuse is 11.3.
