so i found on research that Displayport connections won't work with OpenBSD

i found it here //marc.info/?l=openbsd-misc&m=136314377101542&w=2

so i connect my external NEC PA241W with DVI

could someone help me how to setup my .xinitrc to have this constellations?

If the external monitor is connected AND the laptop lid open -> both displays extended
If the external monitor is connected AND laptop closed -> only external
If the external monitor is not connected -> laptop monitor.
