Unbound is a caching DNS resolver. Cache is stored in memory, not on disk. The default cache size is 4 MB, with messages (resolutions) expiring after 1 day. You can change these settings and other defaults in unbound.conf(5).
The /var/unbound/db directory stores applicable key files, such as root.key.
