Ah, you didn't mention that you were installing OpenBSD on a virtual machine.
Judging by your use of the term "guest additions" I'm going to assume you're using VirtualBox. It looks like it's just a matter that no one has done it (maybe that person is you?). The downside is it looks like on FreeBSD at least, the video driver is a kernel module which wouldn't work for OpenBSD.
It seems like it would be better if someone wrote drivers for VirtualBox and submitted them directly to OpenBSD itself. There have been some developers who have done this for VMware: see
vic(4) and
vmt(4) for examples.
