I didn't want to bug the guy since he doesn't know me from Adam and I can't spare cash to pay him for the effort. I'm still an OpenBSD newbie, so I figure I should tread lightly and not ask too much of others.

Besides, this method scratches my itch. I just wanted pandoc. An official port would be nice, but installing through cabal works too.
