The message you see when DRM is used answers your question, I think. With DRM, framerate = monitor refresh rate. I get approx 60fps with a low-end netbook (Atom N270) using an Intel 82945GME.

That certainly makes sense as to exactly 60FPS no matter what i tried, hooey on that vertical sync/lock thing making my documentaries all choppy .... and yes it does answer my question, thx.

That file does not exist in my install, the xenocara directory within /usr is not there at all, i am using 4.6 release, not certain if there is a difference.
